WHS launches in Germany

Thursday, 17 January 2008 19:59 by Beatrice

Today I went to see SBS MVP Oliver Sommer demonstrate Windows Home Server (WHS) in Stuttgart, Germany. Oliver presented at a Microsoft Partnerforum (the German version of partner events) and most partners there were already supporting Small Business Server (SBS) and showed quite an interest in WHS. That made for a real interactive session as there were many questions and only one hour to cover the topic.

In this hour, Oliver’s demo covered much ground, enough for attendees to walk away and know how to install and configure WHS from the get-go. If you want to see Oliver demo WHS, you can still catch him up to the end of January 2008 (in Germany), check this link for dates & locations. http://www.microsoft.com/germany/partner/trainings/partnerforen/default.mspx

Partnerforum attendees exhibited incredible interest in WHS – Oliver Sommer (R) still answering many questions after the session.

If you like to find out more about WHS, see some screen shots and learn more about WHS, take a look at the WHS team blog at http://blogs.technet.com/homeserver/
