...Web2.0, Virtualization solutions, hands-on-labs - I'd call that a loaded schedule today at SMB Nation East, held in Montclair, NJ. This is the third SMB Nation conference in the greater New York area with an attendance of over 150 SMB IT consultants.

This being a 2-day conference offered a little taste of what's to come this fall at SMB Nation 2008, held October 4-6 at Seattle's riverfront Bell Harbor International Conference Center. And for you Canadians, there will be a SMB Nation Toronto on May 2-3, 2008 (www.smbnation.com).

If you are the type of person that doesn't see a reason for spending $$$$ to go to a conference, if you would even consider it, I'd say this year would be an excellent year, there are many new Microsoft Products rolling out of production, including Cougar and Centro. There is no better way to get up to speed on new technology than to see it, discuss it and make new friends that think alike that you can discuss it even more with.

That is the overall feel today at SMB Nation East with many 3rd year alumni and lots of new faces. If you need to be motivated about your busienss, find a new niche or find a new way of managing or marketing your business, conferences are a great incubator to come away with plenty of ideas!

Most of all I wanted to say thanks to all that endured the 70-282 exam cram today (nobody threw anything at me!) - it was not easy but you were great troopers sticking through the program. Somehow I know you will do your best to prepare for the exam, and once it is over you will be glad that you did :)
