The other day I wanted to check out how my IM would work on the mobile phone connecting to people’s Windows Live Spaces. Actually this is really cool, because it allows you to easily keep up on your friends while being on the road.
On the mobile device (in my case a T-mobile Wing), I signed into my Windows Live account and looked through my contact list. First I had to find a friend that has an already established Windows Live Space.
By selecting the contact and clicking on “contact options” you can see right away if the contact has a Live Space (if not the option will be grayed out).
After clicking on the “View contact’s space” option, Internet Explorer opens up the space and prompts you to sign in. Once you have done that, all your contacts “Updated contact spaces” links will be displayed and you can go ahead and visit their sites.
Even more cool though - if you own a Live Space yourself, you can update the space directly from your WM6 device. But first you must go to your Live Space, and click on the “Options” tab and then select “E-mail publishing”. You will also chose here if you want to “Save entries as drafts” or “Publish entries immediately”.
So here we go, I set this up and sent an e-mail from my mobile. And the result is:
Awesome!
